LIGHT HOUSES ON GREEK STAMPS (07) - ALEXANDROUPOLIS' LIGHTHOUSE

On October 7, 1988 issued the definitive stamp set with the general title Capitals of prefectures (part I). Among them there is the 3 DRX stamp dedicated to the city of Alexandroupolis with Alexandroupolis' lighthouse on it.

The stamp set issued in two types. A. Perforated all around from sheet of 50 and B.Imperforate at shorter sides from strip of 5. The TYPE B imperforate stamps were delivered in bundles of 100 pieces and in booklets. Each bundle contains 20 strapled together strips of 5 stamps. Each booklet contains a pane of 16 (2x8) stamps in 4 (1x4) se-tenant blocks of 4 stamps. Each block of 4 contains the 3 and 5 DRX values in the top row and the 10 and 20 DRX values in the bottom row. 2.000.000 booklets were issued.
